Research Interest:
My primary interests are emotion and emotion regulation - particularly as they interact with social cognition and behavior. How and why do we regulate our emotions, and how are these processes influenced by our social environment and interactions? I am interested in taking a multi-modal approach to investigating both intrapersonal and interpersonal regulatory processing, with a focus on the neural mechanisms underlying these processes. I am furthermore interested in expanding this research to consider implications for health and learning.
